this is about how our song came on, and we sang along

As someone who djs on a fairly regular basis, and oftentimes to a crowd of people who come to the bar i work at via a bridge or a tunnel, I do have more than a few "guilty pleasure" songs in my collection. The thing is, I don't really feel guilty about this at all. I love cheesy music and pop culture. I've danced around my room to Fall Out Boy (and to the Arcade Fire after that). Judge me for that if you will, but I think all music has a certain time and a place in my life where it can be appreciated for what it is.

That being said, I can't get this song out of my head. It's pretty fluff and very very very 80s, but it has a good hook and I just plain LIKE it.

Umbrellas - Again and Again

I don't really know much about this band either, since this CD randomly landed on my desk in a pile to be reviewed for my job. They are called Umbrellas and have an album called Illuminare out with Militia Group. And they are from a town called Norman, Oklahoma! Anyways, here is another song from them that is a different sort of thing from "Again and Again" all together. Much more lush and dramatic, so depending on your mood (dance party or possible pity party), you have two songs to choose from.

Umbrellas - Ships
