Meet Me @ The Altar

A long (LONG) time ago in a land called New Jersey I was a 20 something slathering on all the black eyeliner I could find and trecking down to Asbury Park for Skate and Surf festival for a very eventful day of listening to a lot of screamo emo bands (I miss you, Kill Hannah) in a dillapitated “venue” - a night which ended with me getting burned on the palm of my hand by Matt Pinfield’s cigarette, meeting a band called Nora who didn’t believe my name was Nora until I showed them my drivers license and going to a strip club with them. But that’s a story for another time…

Nevertheless, as soon as I put on this song from up and coming Florida pop-punk Meet Me @ The Altar I was immediately transported back to that time in my life in all of the absolute best ways. The band already has all the makes of being a huge sensation - they’re signed to Fueled By Ramen (duh), Halsey is a big fan, and they are going on tour with Coheed And Cambria and The Used and All Time Low. They also have a really fun new EP coming out called Model Citizen and I am just loving their whole damn vibe.
